In a legal shock for Tanushree Dutta, a Mumbai court has dismissed its petition against the relief given to veteran actor Nana Patekar in the #MeToo case. Despite the shock, Tanushree is unaffected and has vowed to continue her fight with even more determination.

Taking on social media, Tanushree Dutta stressed that she has some ‘good news’ to share with her fans, in which she said, “The court has canceled the B-Sumari report filed by the Mumbai Police. Horn ok plea Complaint of sexual harassment against Nana Patekar and others. The police tried to close the case in 2019, citing a false and malicious B-Sumari report without talking to any of my witnesses, meanwhile my witnesses were threatened by Nana’s goons and underworld Leonson. Recently, one of our major witnesses directly submitted his testimony against Patekar in court and confirmed my entire complaint and also the fact that he was pressurized by unknown men who were threatening him on the phone. The court took cognizance of this witness testimony through a filed affidavit and concluded that the B summary report by the police could not be accepted by the court. So we have won the matter and now the Mumbai Police will have to register a charge sheet on the matter.
“I and my legal team have won the matter, and any media house that is printing an opposite story will have to respond to the court and will become a party in the case of harassment by default. Speaking about the case, on Friday, the court of Metropolitan Magistrate in Andheri officially tackled two sexual harassment cases filed against Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, Director Rakesh Sarang and producer Abdul Sami Abdul Ghani Siddiqui by Tanushree. Complaints registered at Oshiwara police station in October 2018, related to alleged incidents in March 2008 and October 2010. Horn ok Metropolitan Magistrate NV Bansal ruled that the first case would be closed, as the police had submitted a closed report beyond the permissible time limit.
This legal decision follows a previous decision where the Mumbai court dismissed the case against Nana Patekar and the three co-accused. While the verdict is a significant legal hurdle for Tanushree Dutta, she has reiterated her commitment to seek justice, emphasizing that this result has only strengthened her resolve.
