13. They are capable of detecting low blood sugar

Dogs are known to spot diseases, and Labradors can also detect early signs of diabetes. A lab named Armstrong was the first dog to be successfully trained to detect low blood sugar and helped to prepare patients before diabetes sets.
14. They are searching and rescue dogs

Labradors are also used for smell and prevention because of their deep sense of smell and, more importantly, their soft nature. Trained as disaster response dogs, they are soft and cool while working, rather than showing aggressive instincts.
