11. They were almost extinct

Despite being accepted by the US for 30 years, Labrador Terriers were once on the verge of extinction. In the 19th century, a family could only be the owner of a dog with tax payments. Female dogs did not have options due to their high taxes, which eventually led to a severe decrease in the breed.
12. They are different from Golden Retrievers

Labradors are often considered wrong for Golden Retrievers, but these two dogs are essentially bred to separate. Labs are born to help people do fish and work, while Golden Retrievers are raised as victims of an aristocratic class. Such different breeding targets make Labraders larger and stronger than golden retrievers.
